Austin’s Deaf Community Deserves More

DRF Logo Star

Austin is home to one of the nation’s largest Deaf populations, rich in culture, talent, and leadership. Yet the infrastructure, investment, and dedicated community spaces needed to fully support that population have not kept pace.

DeafRipples exists to help change that through community-led programming, partnerships, accessibility initiatives, mentorship, and long-term investment in the future of Central Texas’s Deaf community.

Behind her, a presentation screen displays the DeafRipples Foundation logo and the message: “Empowering the Deaf community through connection, opportunity, and leadership.” A vertical banner beside the screen reads “Connection. Opportunity. Leadership.” Audience members are seated facing the presenter in a warmly lit indoor setting with wood-paneled walls and large windows.
